Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about tracking, valuing, and trading watches on WristWorth.
What is WristWorth?
+
WristWorth is a portfolio tracker and peer-to-peer marketplace built specifically for watch collectors. You can catalog your collection, track market values over time, compare watches side by side, generate insurance reports, and buy or sell directly with other collectors.
How does WristWorth estimate my watch's value?
+
We combine a curated reference database of 1,800+ watches across 75+ brands with brand-specific market multipliers, real eBay sold-listing data, and condition adjustments. Every estimate includes a confidence score so you know how much data backs it. Our estimates are directional indicators, not certified appraisals. For details, see our How It Works page.
Is WristWorth free?
+
Yes — the free plan lets you track up to 5 watches with valuations, wear logging, streaks, community access, and the AI watch scanner. Our Collector plan ($15/month, 30-day free trial) unlocks up to 50 watches, advanced analytics, insurance PDF export, and more.
How does the AI watch scanner work?
+
Upload a photo of any watch and our AI identifies the brand, model, and reference number. It then pulls specs and market data from our database and lets you add the watch to your collection with one tap. The scanner works with wrist shots, box photos, and even partial views of the dial.
How accurate are the valuations?
+
Accuracy depends on how much market data we have for a given reference. High-confidence estimates (score 80-100) are backed by 20+ verified transactions and are typically within 10-15% of actual sale prices. Lower-confidence estimates use MSRP-based heuristics and should be treated as rough guides. We continuously improve accuracy by ingesting real sold-listing data weekly.
What marketplace fees does WristWorth charge?
+
WristWorth charges a commission on completed sales through our peer-to-peer marketplace. The commission rate is competitive with other watch marketplaces and decreases as your seller volume increases. There are no listing fees — you only pay when a sale closes.
Is my collection data private?
+
By default, your collection is completely private — only you can see it. You can optionally make individual watches or your entire collection visible on your public profile. You control visibility at the watch level, and you can toggle it on or off at any time. We never sell your data.
What is The Vault?
+
The Vault is our public reference library of watches with specs, photos, and market data. Anyone can browse it without an account. It covers 1,800+ references across 75+ brands and is continuously expanding. Collectors use it to research watches before buying, and it feeds the data behind our valuation engine.
Can I export my collection data?
+
Yes. You can export your entire collection to CSV at any time from the dashboard. We also generate detailed insurance PDF reports that include photos, specifications, serial numbers, and current market valuations for each watch.
How do I sell a watch on WristWorth?
+
From your collection, select any watch and tap 'List for Sale.' Set your asking price (we suggest a range based on market data), add photos, describe the condition, and publish. Other collectors can make offers, and you negotiate directly. When you agree on a price, the sale closes through our secure process.
Does WristWorth support Google sign-in?
+
Yes! WristWorth supports both email/password and Google OAuth sign-in. You can sign in with one tap using your Google account.
What watches does WristWorth cover?
+
Our reference database covers 75+ brands from Casio to Patek Philippe — entry-level to haute horlogerie. You can add any watch regardless of whether it's in our database; we'll still track it and estimate value using brand-level market data. The Vault currently has 1,800+ references and grows weekly.
How often are market values updated?
+
We refresh market data weekly by ingesting eBay sold listings for our top references. Brand multipliers and reference estimates are reviewed monthly. Your portfolio values update automatically as new data comes in.
Can I track service history for my watches?
+
Yes. Each watch in your collection has a service log where you can record services, repairs, and maintenance with dates, costs, and notes. You can also set service reminders so you never miss a recommended service interval.
